'Roscoe'

So I have finished my latest creation last night.
It took me many, many hours.
It's a ferret called 'Roscoe'.
Roscoe is a happy, jumping ferret. I used to have 3 ferrets. Rakker, Boefie and Tijger.
I was thinking about them lately and then I found  this piece of faux fur which just looked like the fur of my ferrets.
Roscoe is about 15 inches/ 38 cm tall from his nose to his tall. Roscoe has sculped teeth. He is wired and filled with plastic pellets and polyester filling.

I will start a 4 week fulltime course tomorrow. I am looking forward to it but I am also afraid that I will not have enough time and energy to make something new in these 4 weeks.
Because of my health problems my energylevel is very low.
I will think of all of you and grap my self together and just do it!
Many hugs,
xx Mel

Well, here is 'Roscoe'

My feature in BärReport Magazine

Hi there,

I am featured in the new edition of the German BärReport Magazine! It is my first interview and feature in a magazine!
I am working hard to finish my latest creation today. Maybe later today - or tommorow I can uploads the finished results. I am not gonna tell yet what it is going to be...
On monday I will start a 4 week fulltime course for my job. I am afraid I won't have much time and energy to make something in that time. :( I will try anyway. :)

To get back on the feature in the BärReport magazine; here are some pictures.

Oops! I forgot....

I totally forgot to show you 'Rosalie', my latest creation! How could I?!
I made her last week for somebody who is totally in love with 'Blueberry'.
(a picture to remind you of 'Blueberry')

I have made 'Blueberry' for my husband ( still boyfriend at that moment) to Valentines Day last year.
* I use this moment to complain: I make/ give him something to Valentines Day every year
but I never get something back that day... (╯︵╰,)  *

Anyways, luckily Blueberry has a little cousine and her name is 'Rosalie'.
Rosalie is only 4 inches/ 10 cm tall and she is very soft. :)

Hope you like her.

Hugs, Mel

Gwen, a little hedgehog girl

Just finished Gwen, a little hedgehog girl.
I must say I have never been so productive as I have been in the last weeks, hehe... Thinking about what making next, though I have more stuff to do :(

I need to write a small script for my kids in my theatre group on monday evening.
I am useally very good in making up stories but my head seems to burst everytime I try to think of writing a story. Ahhhh!!! I NEED inspiration!
As creative as I am on my little critters,
my mind blocks on this script atm!

I am going to a big Bear Show in Münster ( Germany ) on Saturday and I am looking forward to it! In the evening, at a Gala Dinner Party, I will find out if my Cody and Bits are good enough to win a Golden George Award. Fingers crossed!

Here is Gwen. She is 5.5 inches/ 14cm tall and made of mohair.

Hugs, Mel

Happy Easter!

Had to finish this one before Eastern!

I am struggling agains a cold and the flu. After a lack of sleep for more then 4 weeks the flu is trying to get me in his grip. But I am not somebody who gets really ill. Just an unpleasant cold with  bad headaches, ugly coughing and a dripping nose.

But it does not stop me from making new creations. Having my head full of new ideas and a cupboard filled with new wonderful fabrics I have to make more.
No time for a flu!

This one I have finished just yesterday. He is called 'Malcolm'. This week he is an Easterbunny but next week he can be a 'plain' bunny again. He loves butterflies and they love him!
Malcolm is 7.5 inches / 19cm tall. His body and legs are filled with plastic pellets and the rest is filled with a synthetic fiber. He has a needle felted face and his eyes, fingers and toes are made of polymere clay.

I hope you like him!

Happy Easter, Mel

ps. don't eat too many eggs - chocolate or cooked!
